Paul graduated from the University of Idaho with his Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics. He became a licensed insurance agent in Idaho in 1979.

Paul grew up in the Coeur d'Alene and Spokane area. He and Janelle raised their 3 children on a hobby farm with a love for livestock and gardening in southern Idaho. He was happy to be able to return to his native northern Idaho area when they moved their agency north to Moscow in 2004.

He and Janelle live in Post Falls where they garden, raise livestock and have learned recently about being hobby beekeepers. They harvest their honey along with their garden crop and berries each fall.

Paul spends time with their kids and grandkids on the lakes around Coeur d'Alene fishing for bass, pike and crappie; and farther west on the ocean fishing for salmon and halibut.

Paul and Janelle have 3 children and 3 children-in-law. Paul’s true pride and joy are his 6 grandchildren.

Paul volunteers with his church, has been an active member of the scouting community and was recently recognized for his years of service volunteering with Idaho Fish and Game where he served as a reservist and volunteers teaching Hunter’s Education sharing his passion for hunting and fishing with the community.
